A news item hit my desk today where a IP-PBX (or softswitch) application solved a different kind of problem. Unified communications? Unified Administration? One network? Sure they get those things, but it was really just a matter of getting communication into places where TDM didn't work. I'll post the link here. Pretty cool application.

Tech Town - Next Generation Office Complex

Today we shared (with our resellers around the globe) a nice application of our IP-PBX products that was chosen over Cisco and others for Tech Town in Dayton, OH. This is a brand new office complex, the first buildings just completed. Tadiran's Coral IPx solutions will provide tenants of Tech Town with VoIP and tradition telephony. VoIP mobility with cell phone integration is simple and extremely effective for the almost everyone today. Standard stuff with Tadiran.

With price of gasoline at an all-time-high, it reminds us of the great benefits of VoIP - working from home. Even if it is just one day a week, having your same telephone experience while at home (or traveling) is not only a great employee perk, but is good for the environment and your pocket book. (Tadiran's solution is probably the industry best in terms of easily moving the IP telephone from office to home.) Some good reading that covers this topic:

Additions in ACD reporting

This week we are adding additional functionality to our CCJet ACD package. This is includes multi-supervisor license options as well as support for Windows Vista. CCJet is a very economical package providing reporting and real-time stats on calls in process on the Coral IP-IPXs.

SeaMail - Tadiran's Pure IP Unified Messaging

This week Tadiran rolled out the Coral SeaMail voice mail and unified messaging solutions to our reseller Partners in the US. We had more experience in other international markets with the SeaMail. But this week marked a milestone in bringing our Partners up to speed. So, over the next several weeks we expect to see new sales of this SIP-based product especially inside our Coral IPx Office. The IPx Office is a new IP-PBX offering for small and medium business, and is our top selling IP-PBX. The SeaMail brings cost savings and a beautiful HTML interface.

This week we had multiple webinars and release Partner specific information in regards to configurations, pricing, and how to order etc. We also have web sessions where the New Products Manager - Rich Hernandez give the Partners a tour of the applications. Both sales and techs from our resellers attend this session.

Looking forward to getting more systems under our belt. The closer you look at this solution...the better it looks.
